Women’s health and wellbeing was amongst the topics for discussion, as Assist Women’s Network met at Consultants Choice Clinic in Stockton tomorrow.

Hailey Dobbs, managing director at Consultants Choice Clinic hosted the event alongside Sharon Sinclair Williams, former Goodwill Ambassador for Assist and director of Love Yourself First EFT, and Sarah Walker, director of SASS media Ltd.

The event highlighted the range of women’s health services provided by Consultants Choice Clinic, including gynaecology, ultrasound scans and female cosmetic surgery.

It also gave Teesside businesswomen the opportunity to introduce their business and network informally with one another.

Hailey said: “We enjoyed welcoming women involved with the Assist Network to the event at Consultants Choice Clinic, based at Surtees Business Park in Stockton.

“As a provider of friendly, patient-centred and efficient healthcare services for women, we feel it is important to be part of current discussions around women’s health and access to treatment and support for a wide range of conditions.

“At Consultants Choice, we offer an open and welcoming environment that allows women to talk candidly about their experiences – and I have heard a number of stories from the women who attend about the treatment they have endured.

“I am pleased to have had the opportunity to be able to reassure women about the high level of care they can expect to receive at Consultants Choice Clinic as an affordable, private healthcare provider that bridges the gap between the NHS and traditional private practice.”

Sarah Walker, a former Gazette health reporter with a specialist interest in women’s health, said: “I was pleased to be involved with this event and enjoyed meeting other women and hearing their experiences about the healthcare services they have received across Teesside.

“With the recent announcement of the renewed Women’s Health Strategy by the former health secretary Wes Streeting, this is a hot topic – and one we are keen to highlight at SASS media, through our new women’s health platform, This Is Not Normal.

“As a 45-year-old woman who has just undergone a radical hysterectomy after years of suffering with endometriosis and myriad mental health conditions, including those linked to pregnancy, childbirth and the menstrual cycle, it is a subject I have a personal as well as a professional interest in.”

Sharon Sinclair Williams founded Love Yourself First EFT to help people pay attention to their emotions and notice what they’re telling you by exploring where those feelings come from and how they show up in your life.

Sharon, a Rapid Tapping Pro and an accredited clinical EFT Practitioner registered with EFT International, says that over time, EFT may lead to stronger relationships, better coping skills, and improved mental health.

Sharon has been a passionate advocate since 2017 for raising awareness of the impact of menopause and ADHD on a woman’s life via her Instagram, Best before End Date and blog of the same name.

She said: “I enjoyed hosting this event and hearing from the women who attend about their experiences and their interesting and varied businesses.”
